Information for event ticket holders and organisers. Last updated: 8th April
The Government has issued guidance asking the UK public to avoid all unnecessary social contact for the foreseeable future, in order to protect society’s most vulnerable from viral infection.
Inevitably this has led to the cancellation or postponement of all public face-to-face cultural, educational and business events.
We understand how frustrating this might be. We will keep updating the Essex 2020 events calendar to reflect which events have been postponed or cancelled and to bring news of online digital events that you can join from your home.
We are closely monitoring official guidance from Public Health England, UK Government and local authorities. We will work with event organisers as information evolves. The safety and health of all event organisers and attendees is the main priority of Essex 2020 and we will always implement recommendations and instructions appropriately.

IMPORTANT – Please let us know about changes to your event
If you are an event organiser, please do contact us as soon as you can with any updates or to talk through any questions or queries you have. It is important that the information on the Essex 2020 website is current, as we receive thousands of visitors per month looking for information, book tickets and engage with online content.
We have put together a round-up of emergency funds that have been set up to support organisations and practitioners that have been financially impacted by Covid-19.
There is some good, general, information for event organisers from:
We are keen to hear about any of your digital events online.
Please let us know if you would like support to reach people digitally, broadcast activities or engage with audiences in different ways.
The Essex 2020 mission to celebrate science and creativity in every corner of Essex will be undeterred…
