Girls aged 10-19yrs+ are invited to learn about wearable technology, interactive music, performance, lights, digital art, coding and working collaboratively on a creative project. Weekly meetups take place on Sundays at 2pm and Tuesdays at 5pm.

Beginners with no experience are welcome and there is lots of scope to progress to more advanced levels.

Participants will be using the MiniMu glove shown in the photo but you won’t need to buy it at £40 – a £15 Microbit and speaker/hacked £1 headphone would do. You can create your own glove out of felt, put Microbit on an existing glove or just hold the Microbit in your hand. There is a Microbit online emulator you can use or you can borrow them from libraries across the UK once they are open. It is more fun getting active with the physical device.

How to use
MiniMu speaker (sewable)
(needs crocodile clips)
Microbit speaker
(needs crocodile clips, attach with thread/glue)
Sturdy sewable Microbit speaker
(may be better with non MiniMu glove)
Crocodile clips can be found cheaper from places like CPC Farnell Amazon Ebay etc.
